Hi, my name is Tabitha and this is my beautiful family. I’ve been married for 8 years to my amazing husband. We have our Little Buddy who is a two and half and a second one on the way.
I love the Lord and I’m grateful that He blessed me with my amazing family!
My kitchen is far from perfect, but I love to try to simplify my kitchen by organizing, planning meals, and making it the best place for my family.
In January 2012, I started my blog Simplymykitchen.com. My goal each time I write a post is to show you that I’m a real person trying new things and if I have some insight I’d love for you to be challenged and encouraged! I pray that my blog will encourage you. Encourage you to try something new, make it your own and be proud of what you’ve accomplished! Even if it’s something as simple as organizing a pantry or creating a menu for your family. It doesn’t matter because you did it, you are creating the best place in your home!
Before I was a stay at home mom, I worked as Registered Nurse and Certified Lactation Educator in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for six years. I loved taking care of micro-preemies and helping families learn to care for sweet little ones. I loved my days working as a nurse but after my little guy was born we made a big decision for me to stay home with him. I wouldn’t change it for the world. But the families that touched my heart forever will always be with me! I love you all. C
My Kitchen Decoration
My goal where ever we live is make our home beautiful and inviting. I’m a novice at decorating, but now that I have a little more time to dedicate to making our home inviting, I enjoy looking up amazing ideas on Pinterest. I’ll be sharing with you every time I do a DIY project or make something for our kitchen and dining room.
My Kitchen Organization
I believe my desire to be organized stems from my background as a NICU nurse. I love things organized! Everything has a place and you know where it is when you need it.
My Free Time
It’s spent with my hubby and son. And when my hubby is at work or my son is taking a nap, I’m usually enjoying a good book, surfing Pinterest, writing a blog post or working on a project.
Things I Love
*Morning quiet times with my Father in Heaven, my bible and coffee. I’m so glad He created me and everything I get to enjoy!
*Good morning kisses from my loves.
*The smile on my sons face when he wakes up in the morning. PRICELESS
* Breakfast, Lunch and Dinnertime at the kitchen table. Oh, these are the greatest days of my life! I hope I always treasure them.
* Baking, especially bread! My favorite cookbook in the whole world is Artisan Bread 5 minutes a Day!
*I love reading non-fiction books.
*Trying a new recipe. This is my challenge this year, to try at least 52 new recipes.
* Visiting with family and friends as often as possible. What in the world would I do with out them!
*I love to organize, it’s like a puzzle for me.
I just want to wrap up my little “about me” by saying thank you to you! Thank you for stopping by to join me, I’m always encouraged by emails and comments you leave for me on my blog. It’s what makes me keep sharing with you all how I create the best place in my home: the kitchen.
