Gratituesday: Mama’s Day Out

There are so many amazing days through out the year to make memories. They are usually centered around holidays and birthdays but I have to tell you, for me, some of the best days lately have been in between the special occasions. Last friday was one of those days.

I enjoy spending each at home with my little toddler, but on Friday my husband gave me the best gift a mama can get: a mama’s day out. No responsibility of feedings, diapering, and cleaning up messes, just a day out. Nope, it is not my birthday or anniversary, just a sweet gift of, “Enjoy your day and don’t hurry home.”

Hey, I wont argue. :) After leaving the house, I headed for my 16 week appointment with my midwife. It was such a joy to hear our sweet little baby’s heartbeat. That sound just never gets old. What a great way to start my mama day. :)

My next stop: Panera! Soup and salad were calling my name. By the way, they have a new salad called Spinach Power, I highly recommend it!

Next I did a little browsing at the Mall. I didn’t buy anything, but it was nice to walk around World Market and Ann Taylor Loft.  I found tons of inspirational pieces that I think will be perfect for my new kitchen decor plan!  Stay tuned, thats coming next week. I did find some cute summer cardigans and blouses that I’d love to add to my wardrobe but I’m waiting for the end of the season sale. :)

Just before leaving the mall, I went back into Panera to take some treats home for my loves: a bear claw for the hubby and an Easter egg cookie for Little Buddy.

Fourth stop for the day: a pediacure. I honestly can not remember the last time I had one. So this was a huge treat for me.

My day was complete by my hubby taking us all out for dinner to a little bistro we’ve been wanting to try.

I couldn’t have asked for a better day. I’m so grateful for my husband who know how to give just the right gift: a mama’s day out.

What are you most grateful for today. Please share, I love hearing all about it!

Sharing today at Heavenly Homemakers.
