Gratituesday – October’s Memories

The month of October has been a busy month. As I look back on this month, I’ve had the opportunity to spend some quality time with family and friends. The first part of the month my husband and I took Little Buddy to a pumpkin patch, we finished decorating for fall and I hosted a busy bag swap.

The second half of the month, Little Buddy and I traveled across the country to visit family and attend my youngest brother’s wedding. For those two weeks, I planned and made many meals for friends and family. The biggest highlights were: baking pita bread with my sister-in-law Felicity, attempting caramel apples, hanging out with my cousins and being apart of my brother’s wedding.

When we arrived home, I took a day to relax, then we were off to more exciting things! I made caramel apple cupcakes for a dinner party and then prepared for a storm. Luckily, we had no damage and we never lost power. We are very grateful!

Yes, the month of October was busy but very memorable. It is something I’m very thankful for today!

What was your most memorable event from this month? I’d love to hear what you are thankful for!

Sharing today at Heavenly Homemakers.

  1. Sounds like you did make a lot of good memories this month! We took our 15 month old to a pumpkin patch and corn maze. It was also the first time I had ever been to either. I think she really enjoyed it and look forward to taking her back when she can actually remember it. :) I carved her first pumpkin and she just stares at it with amazement. My sister became engaged this month too so we’ll have a wedding to plan and attend in the not too distant future. Luckily she lives here though so it won’t require travel (unless she decides to do a destination wedding or something). Looking forward to the memories November and December will bring!

    • Rebecca I remember carving our first pumpkin with our son last year. It was so fun. He was a little unsure of pumpkin insides but he definitely loved watching my husband carve it. We didn’t carve on this year. Maybe we will this afternoon. 😉
Wedding planning sounds like a ton of fun! I bet you are very excited for her. I’m glad she lives close to you so you can do lots of fun things together. Are you on Pinterest? There are so many fabulous ideas on Pinterest. Especially for helping you keep costs down. If she loves making things, it would be lots of fun to do together.

I’m looking forward to the next two months as well. I just finished planning out November and I can’t wait!!

Thank you for stopping by today Rebecca, talk to you very soon!
