Honey Peach Sauce

Happy Friday to you Friends. Wow, this week just flew by, once again. Weekends go fast and weeks go fast around here lately. But I’m ready for a fun weekend with my family and friends.  What are you all up to this weekend?

I have a recipe for you all today.  It’s a recipe that I’m going to be using in four other recipes that I’ll be sharing with you over the next week.

Honey Peach Sauce

Total time
This lightly sweetened fresh fruit flavor is a great topping to toast, yogurt, oatmeal and more!
Recipe type: Topping
  • 4 Medium Peaches (about 1 pound)
  • 1 Tablespoon Honey
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
  1. Peal, remove pit and dice peaches.
  2. Place peaches, honey and vanilla into a large skillet.
  3. Cook on medium heat until honey and vanilla melt together with peaches.
  4. Once peaches are softened (about 10 minutes), place into a food processor or blender.
  5. Puree peaches until they resemble apple sauce.
  6. Serve on toast, in yogurt, oatmeal, or cottage cheese
Makes: 8 oz Substitutions for honey: agave, brown rice syrup or brown sugar. Adjust sugar amount depending on desired sweetness. Store in refrigerator up to 5 days. Store in freezer up to 2 months. May choose to use freezer cube method to have individual serving sizes.

Freezer Cube Method:

Using an ice cube tray, place the sauce into the ice cube tray and cover with aluminum foil. Once sauce has frozen, remove from ice cube tray and transfer into a freezer bag. Label and date freezer bag. To defrost: place desired cubes into a bowl and place in refrigerator over night or using the defrost option on your microwave, place desired cubes into a bowl for a quick defrost.
