Our Menu for December 3, 2012
Hey friends! It’s another beautiful Monday and its once again time for menu plan Monday!
Whether or not your a huge fan of menu planning, I can’t recommend it enough during this time of year. I believe taking 20 minutes to plan your breakfasts, lunches and dinners really will make your Christmas season a little easier. Today, I want to share three ways to keep menu planning simple during the holidays.
#1. Stick to your favorites.
This is not the time to do an elaborate dinner each night. Keep it simple by making your family favorites. If you want to make one new recipe, use one that has a short ingredient list or pick the day of the week that you do not have a lot of activities, that way you can enjoy making the new recipe.
#2. Ask your family what they would like.
I do this every week with my husband. Mainly because I don’t want to have to think of all the meal idea’s by myself. Plus, he knows he’ll be getting his favorites during the week. Which I think he enjoys! 😉
#3. Have a theme menu.
I mentioned back in October that theming my weekly meals helped me plan my monthly menu. Heres our current menu themes:
- Sunday – Pasta
- Monday – American
- Tuesday – Mexican
- Wednesday – Crockpot
- Thursday – Something new
- Friday – Pizza
- Saturday – Something easy
Ok, there it is, three ways to keep it simple during the holidays: stick to your favorites, ask your family and have a daily theme! Have a great week friends!
Here is our menu.
- Oatmeal casserole
- Breakfast casserole
- Pumpkin Pancakes and scrambled eggs
- Cereal x 2
- Yogurt and granola x 2

What quick and easy meals are you cooking this week?
