Peek into Our Week and This Weeks Menu
Disney World is a place I’ve wanted to go for a very long time and last week we got to go. After spending a few weeks packing, moving, unpacking and getting settled into our new home, a vacation was the perfect treat after lots of hard work.
The morning we that we left for Disney World, I was like a little kid, so excited and couldn’t wait to get there. We stayed at the All Star Sports Resort on the Disney World property and I highly recommend saying on the property for shuttle services. When you have little kids it makes it super convenient to go back for nap time or a dip in the pool.
To keep our food costs down, we purchased breakfast, lunch and snack items from the store before getting to our hotel and stored them in the mini refrigerator provided in our room. That way we could enjoy a nice dinner and a special treat (like an ice cream sundae!).
My absolute favorite park was the Magic Kingdom. There were so many rides for a two year old and since he is not into watching shows, the play area’s like Dumbo’s play land was perfect for a toddler to enjoy the Disney attractions and get some energy out. I could have spent our days at the Magic Kingdom.
Epcot was fun for walking around the world. We had gelato in Italy and enjoyed the sites in Moracco and Paris, while little dude crashed out in the stroller. Ebcot is beautifully done, although we didn’t spend too much time there. It’s perfect for older kids and adults.
OH, I can’t forget about the food. The Rain Forest Cafe at the Animal Kingdom was so delicious. I had an amazing salmon dish with orzoand I have to find out how to make that dish because it was just heavenly. Dinner at Tony’s the second to last night we were at Disney World was fantastic as well. Homemade ravioli’s in a butter cream sauce: I loved it! Our little guy got to enjoy Mickey shaped ravioli in marinara sauce. He was so excited.
We couldn’t have asked for a better family vacation. It was truly a gift to get away and enjoy some family time in at one of the happiest places on earth.
Well this we we are back to a regular schedule around here. Which is super exciting too. I’ve got my blog schedule planned and fun things are ahead. So stay tuned! Have a fantastic day friends.
