Preparing Our Heart and Home for the Holiday’s – Thanksgiving Menu

Thank you for joining this months series, “Preparing Our Heart and Home for the Holidays.”  To prepare in advance for the an enjoyable holiday, join me each morning (Monday-Friday) as we cover at least one task that we want to accomplish. Start any time and share your progress in the comments!

I’m so excited that Thanksgiving is 8 days away. I can’t wait. Today I’m doing a “test run” of the turkey since it’s my first cooking a turkey.  Last night, I did brine the turkey and later this morning it is going in the oven. I’ll share later on Facebook how it turned out.

Are you ready for today’s task, here it is, as well as our Thanksgiving menu. (I’m not making everything, I have a few friends who are helping as well!)

Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the people. Psalm 105:1

  1. Best of luck on your test run! I doubt you need luck though.:) And you certainly can’t go wrong using ATK’s recipes, right? I love that you’re doing a test run–my kinda gal (and lots of extra fresh broth to freeze!). I think your task to check in on your host is a very kind and warming sentiment that is often overlooked. Love that you think of those things, Tabitha. xxx

    • Thank you for the luck Danielle. It did turn out well. Between friends on Facebook, Ina Garten and America’s Test Kitchen; I was able to cook my first turkey. :) I’ve been very happy with ATKs recipes. I’ve made so many things this last week. I”m getting a lot of use out of my friends cookbook. :)

I appreciate your compliment my friend. I know I always appreciate someone checking in on me so I’m sure it would bless someone else too! I’m loving your little series by the way! Keep up the good work over there at Cozycakes Cottage. I love it!
