Preparing Our Heart and Home for the Holidays – The To Do List {Printable}

Do you have an ever growing to-do list as it gets closer to Thanksgiving. Let us take today to finialized our to-do list and start plugging away at it.

As you do your to-do list, (I’m telling myself this too!) our main focus is our family, not a perfect home and a super moist turkey. Although, those are great things too, this weekend I encourage you to focus on what is most important: our family, friends and people around us!

Lastly, delegate, delegate, delegate! Making the to-do list is not only for you but to have your family or friends help! You are all a team in making Thanksgiving great! I’ve included a checklist and daily planner in todays post to help you.  After each task on the to-do list, add your friend or family members name who can help you. I put my list and planner on the refrigerator, that way I can resource it as I need and check off the items we accomplish.

Today’s Task

  • Continue lighting your candle, pray for your family and play music. (Have you turned on Christmas music yet?) :)
  • At your most convenient time today, set the time for at least 15 minutes.
  • Resource your holiday goal list! Cross off what you’ve done, great job!
  • Write your to-do list of what you need to accomplish over the next 7 days. For a master to-do list: click here
  • After writing your list, review what items you need to do each day. (For example, Saturday write menu, Sunday go grocery shopping )For a daily planner: click here.
  • If you have a ton of cleaning you need to do, break those items down in to daily tasks as well (For example – Saturday, vacuum floors and Sunday, clean out refrigerator).

If you are not hosting

  • Check in with your host and see if they need anything (If you have not already done so).
  • Go grocery shopping for the food or beverage items you may be bringing to the Thanksgiving dinner.
  • Plan which day you will be making your items.
  • Finish your hostess gift (if making one).

Ready set go! Enjoy your weekend friends!
