Yogurt Finger Paint

Last week, I was trying to come up with something fun to do with Little Guy, when the thought crossed my mind to let him play with finger paint.  I’ve made finger paint before, but I needed something to do right then and there.  I opened the refrigerator to find some ingredients, “Thats it: yogurt!”

Here is what you need:

A happy toddler and one of daddy’s old t-shirts.

3 tablespoons of plain yogurt and 1 drop of red, yellow and blue food coloring.  I think sour cream would work well too.

A cutting board creates a great canvas and easy clean up!

And an imagination to create the best painting! :)

All in all, this was so fun to do with him.  He had a great time. And I enjoyed watching him laugh, play and get messy.

Have you made homemade finger paint before?

  1. Very cute idea! I love creating with what you have on hand, and it’s even better when it’s something that doesn’t have much prep time. I’ll have to try this with Little Man soon. I’ve also read pudding works, too, but I usually don’t have chocolate pudding on hand whereas yogurt is a staple.
